Introduction: The Alaska Airmen’s Association Scholarship will be used toward a career in various aviation management areas, including operations, safety, education, training, scheduling, dispatching, and aviation law.
Eligibility: 1.Applicant is enrolled in an aviation-related program with an accredited college, university, trade school, approved training center (Part 61 or Part 141), or in current training with a certified Flight Instructor or A&P Mechanic.
2.Applicant has completed one year of a commercial aviation training program or at least 25% of the work toward their chosen goal, i.e. a commercial pilot certification or an A&P Certificate.
3.Applicant intends to use their training to work in Alaska for the foreseeable future.
4.Applicant has maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 if enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school program.
5.Applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from one of their current instructors attesting to the commitment of the applicant to this program.
6.Applicant has no felony convictions.
7.Applicant is a legal U.S. resident.
How to Apply:
Complete applications must be received by 31 May 2009. Application packets will be date and time stamped upon receipt. Incomplete or late applications will be returned unopened to the sender.
