Introduction: In support of the FIRST mission, Cal Poly and BAE Systems are offering 2 merit-basedscholarships in the amount of $1,250 per year to high school seniors who have participatedon a FIRST team anytime during high school. The scholarship may be utilized for any major
within the College of Engineering pursuing a Bachelor of Science. The scholarship isrenewable for a total of $5,000 over four years of study if the student continues to meet theeligibility requirements. Each recipient must meet the regular academic requirements for
admission to Cal Poly.
Eligibility: 1. Be a senior in high school at the time of selection
2. Have participated at least one full season on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team or a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team
3. Apply and be admitted to Cal Poly as a full time student (however, you do not need to have already been admitted at the time you apply for this scholarship).
4. Preference will be given to students who have financial need.
How to Apply: To apply for this scholarship, complete the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo / BAE Systems FIRST Scholarship Application and mail it to the address below no later than April 10th.
