The Columbine Memorial Scholarships 2009

Introduction: The Columbine Memorial Scholarship Fund, founded by the Rocky Mountain News and The Jefferson Foundation, was created through contributions from individuals, families, and businesses in response to the events at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. The scholarship fund recognizes the 12 students and one teacher who were victims of the Columbine tragedy. The fund carries on their legacy and will be awarded to those who best exemplify the qualities and characteristics of these fine individuals who will be forever remembered.

Eligibility: Applicants must:
1.Be a graduating senior from Columbine High School or a high school in the Jefferson County School District
2.Have at least a 2.5 grade point average (unweighted) at the time the application is submitted
3.Have been accepted at an accredited four-year university or college, community college, or technical school

How to Apply: Applications forms are available at The Denver Foundation’s website ( www.denverfoundation.org, select scholarships from the left hand menu). If you have a recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can fill the application out on your computer, save it, and then print it out. You can also print the application out and fill it in by hand.
