Scholarship Name: CTU Denver/FIRST Robotics Scholarship Program

Introduction: CTU Denver/FIRST Robotics Scholarship Program. This program will assist FIRST Robotics or FIRST Technical Challenge team members who plan to continue their education beyond high school. Scholarships are offered for full-time,undergraduate study at either of Denver’s accredited Campuses.This scholarship program is administered by the Colorado Technical University’s Denver Campuses.

Eligibility: Applicants to the CTU Denver/FIRST Robotics Scholarship Program must be –

Students who have participated at least one year on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) or FIRST Technical Challenge (FTC) team in high school.

High school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study (at least 12 credit hours per quarter, or 8 credit hours in a mini-term).

Students must plan to attend at least three of the four quarters for a twelve month Period.

How to Apply: Interested students must complete the CTU Denver/FIRST Robotics ScholarshipApplication.

The applicants must prepare and attach an essay, not to exceed 500 words, on the following topics:

1. “COMPLETING MY EDUCATION WILL ALLOW ME TO ACHIEVE MY DREAM OF ……”
2. DESCRIBE YOUR ROLE ON YOUR FIRST TEAM AS WELL AS WHAT YOU LEARNED FROM THE EXPERIENCE.

The student must obtain a Letter of Recommendation from a current or prior FIRST team mentor or adult sponsor and attach it to the Scholarship Application

Important dates: The application package must be postmarked or hand delivered to the, CTU DenverFinancial Aid Office prior to the application deadline (June 20th 2009).
