The Denver Country Club Scholarships 2009

Introduction: The Denver Country Club Scholarship Program provides scholarship assistance to Colorado residents who have a work record with The Denver Country Club. Established by club members in 1975, scholarships were originally given to members of the Caddy Program, but the program is now open to all club employees. Scholarship awards are generally between $1,000 and $5,000 per recipient. Some awards may be renewable

Eligibility: Applicants must:
1.Have worked for The Denver Country Club for at least one full year by the application deadline or at least one season as a seasonal employee and be planning to return for a second season.
2.Be a legal Colorado resident.
3.Be planning to attend an accredited college or university for the 2009/2010 academic year to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree (full-time or part-time).
4.Have financial need

How to Apply: To apply, deliver both of the following to Cheryl Pas in The Denver Country Club Human Resources Department, 1700 East 1st Avenue, Denver, CO 80218, by April 15, 2009:
1.A completed application form, including a Personal Statement. Feel free to include a resume or up to three extra sheets if needed, but be sure to fill in all areas of the application form. Application reviewers read a large number of applications and must be able to quickly find the information they need to compare applicants. For this reason, do not write “see resume” in any of the blanks.
2.Transcript of Grades If you are a high school senior, submit a copy of your high school transcript and a copy of your SAT/ACT scores. If you are a college freshman, submit a copy of your high school transcript and the transcript from your first semester in college. Current college students who have sophomore standing or above should submit their current college transcript (or transcripts if you have attended more than one school). Unofficial or downloaded transcripts are acceptable. You may be asked to provide official transcripts if you are selected for an award.
