Introduction: The RBC Wealth Management Colorado Scholarship Fund was founded in 2003. The goal of this fund is to provide scholarships for post-secondary education to outstanding Colorado high school seniors. This scholarship is intended to reward students for exceptional achievement, above and beyond their peers. Five $3,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2009 to students intending to pursue a degree in science, mathematics, or engineering.RBC Wealth Management is the nation’s seventh largest full-service securities firm with 1,800 financial consultants and 6,000 employees. Eligibility: 1. This scholarship is open to students graduating from a Colorado high school in the spring of 2009 who intend to pursue a science, mathematics, or engineering degree.
2. Applicants must have at least a 3.75 cumulative grade point average (weighted or unweighted) at the time the application is submitted.
3. Applicants must have completed, or be enrolled in, college preparatory coursework relevant to the field of study that they wish to pursue.
4. Applicants must have received an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university.
5. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
6. Students that have a parent, step-parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle who is employed by RBC Dain Rauscher are not eligible for this scholarship.
How to Apply: Applications forms are available at The Denver Foundation’s website (www.denverfoundation.org, select scholarships from the left hand menu). If you have a recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can fill the application out on your computer, save it, and then print it out. You can also print the application out and fill it in by hand.
Please see the Application Instructions and Checklist on page two. Applications must be postmarked by April 3, 2009. A letter will be mailed to all applicants regarding the Selection Committee’s decision no later than May 15, 2009.
