Introduction: The International Retention Scholarship is an award ranging between $500 - $4000 for international students who are in good academic standing at Portland State University and who have recently experienced a sudden and unexpected substantive change in their financial support.These scholarships may be renewable upon re-application and will be awarded on an on-going basis as funding allows. Funding availability is not guaranteed and is subject to change at any time. Based on the date of the award, the overall awarded amount is divided equally between remaining terms in an academic year.

Eligibility: Applicants for the PSU International Retention Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
Be an international undergraduate student
Be enrolled in full time coursework each term (minimum 12 hours per term)
Show academic promise
Experienced an unexpected and substantial change in your financial support or circumstance.

Portland State University - International Achievement Scholarships 2009

Introduction: The International Achievement Scholarship is awarded to approximately 30 incoming undergraduate students on the basis of their academic achievement. Students who maintain high academic standing may receive renewed funding for up to four years.

Eligibility:
1.Eligible students must have entering grade point averages (GPA) of at least 3.5 out of a possible 4.0 grading scale.
2.Students who have not yet met the TOEFL/English Language Proficiency requirement are eligible for this scholarship; however, activation of the scholarship will be delayed until after the ESL restriction has been lifted and the students are fully eligible for unrestricted enrollment in academic classes.
3.Master’s and doctoral applicants may be eligible for this scholarship depending on funding availability.

ICSP International Tuition Scholarships - University of Oregon OR

INTRODUCTION :

The ICSP scholarship awards 30-40 competitive scholarships to international students each year. Scholarships apply to tuition only and range from $6,000-$18,000 per year. The ICSP scholarship has a cultural service component which requires students to give presentations about their home country to children, community organizations, and UO students, faculty and staff. ICSP scholarships are based on financial need, academic merit, and the ability to make presentations to diverse groups of people. ICSP scholarships are renewable.

ELIGIBILITY :

Students need to give presentations about their home country to children, community organizations, and UO students, faculty and staff.

HOW TO APPLY :

Download and complete the ICSP Application. Send the ICSP application and required documents to International Affairs, 5209 University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403.

DEADLINE : February 16, 2009.
