Eastern Michigan University - First Scholarships

Introduction: FIRST and Eastern Michigan University have partnered to offer scholarships to high schoolseniors who have participated on a FIRST team during their junior or senior year.University scholarships are competitive and are awarded based on available funding. Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not ensure students will receive an award. Students may receive no more than one of the following scholarships: Presidential, Regents-Gold, Regents, Recognition of Excellence or Eagle.

Eligibility: High school seniors who have participated in at least one full season during their junior or senior year on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team or a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team and who meet the eligibility criteria below will be offered one of the following scholarships:
Regents Scholarship: $3,000 per year for four years
Have a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.70 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
Have a minimum 25 ACT or 1150 SAT
Renewal criteria requires a 3.50 EMU GPA
Recognition of Excellence Scholarship: $2,000 per year for four years
Have a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
Have a minimum 21 ACT or 1000 SAT
Renewal criteria requires a 3.30 EMU GPA
Eagle Scholarship: $1,500 per year for four years
Have a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
Have a minimum 20 ACT or 950 SAT
Renewal criteria requires a 3.0 EMU GPA
Any student, who already has been offered one of the above scholarships or who didn’t qualify but has a minimum high school GPA of 2.50, will be awarded a one-year Leader Award for $1,000.
