The Dolores Zohrab Leibmann Fund: Graduate Fellowships

INTRODUCTION:
Annual award for the purpose of funding advanced education and graduate study grants to attract and support students with outstanding character and ability who hold promise for achievement and distinction in their chosen fields of study.

Fields: Any recognized field of study in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences (including law, medicine, engineering, architecture or other formal professional training) and scholarly publications focusing on Armenian studies and culture.

ELIGIBILITY:
-U.S. citizens who have an outstanding undergraduate record, are enrolled in an accredited college or university of the United States and demonstrate financial need.
-Further restrictions apply. Limit 3 applications per institution - see application procedures below.

Manuel Candamo Memorial Scholarship Program
Application Deadline: May 1st, 2009
Total Scholarship Funds: $14,000
Amount of Each Scholarship: $500 - $2,500

ELIGIBILITY:

-Must be Puerto Rican or of Puerto Rican descent
-Must be a U.S. citizen residing in Puerto Rico
-Must be or plan to be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the 2009-2010 academic year
-Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
-Student must demonstrate financial need

The Hilton Family Diversity scholarship program - Undergraduates - CA

INTRODUCTION:
The Hilton Family Diversity scholarship program awards scholarships to deserving Hispanic students attending any four-year college or university within the United States.This program is designed to help ensure educational access and ease the financial burden of attending college.

Ten Hilton Family Diversity Scholars will be selected to receive re-newable scholarships for $2,500 and will attend the Hilton Scholars Retreat July 26-29, 2010 in Los Angeles, CA.

ELIGIBILITY:
-Must be of Hispanic background.
-Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
-Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year.
-Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year.
-Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
-Must demonstrate financial need, verified by the financial aid office.
-Must be a permanent resident in the Southern California counties of Imperial, San Diego, Riverside, Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Ventura; consideration also given to Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Kern county residents.

Annie’s Homegrown Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship Program

ELIGIBILITY:

-Open to full time undergraduate and graduate students beginning or returning to an accredited 2 or 4 year technical or college program or graduate school in the U.S.  for the 2010/2011 school year.

-Students must be studying sustainable/organic agriculture.
