Introduction: The NSU-BAE Systems FIRST Scholarship is available to students who have been involved in the FIRST FRC or FTC programs, and who have completed an application for entry into any of the undergraduate Computer Science or Engineering programs at Norfolk State University. The scholarship is $2500/year,renewable for four years.
Eligibility: A minimum high school GPA of 3.0 is required for eligibility. For entering freshmen, the student’s official application materials will be reviewed to verify GPA and financial need information.
How to Apply: On a separate sheet, please provide a 400 – 600 word essay describing your length of service and contributions that you made to your FRC and/or FTC team(s), and the impact, if any, that your experience in FIRST has had on your career goals and plans.
Please ask a FIRST mentor or team coach to submit a reference letter commenting on the following: 1.Length of service and contributions to the FRC or FTC team; 2.How well does the applicant embody the FIRST core value of gracious professionalism.
The letter of reference may be submitted with your application or mailed under separate cover to:
